SiS on the rise

Sisters in Spirit is a community-centered initiative dedicated to research and document the statistics of violence against young women of color. Wellness is not a luxury- it’s a foundation for success, confidence, and self-preservation that fosters a path of long-term stability. We are committed to supporting young women of color as they navigate life’s challenges, changes, and opportunities.

Our goal

Raise awareness and increase education regarding the treatment of young women of color and influence policy to address these issues through documenting the lived experience and highlighting the underlying causes of this violence.

Young women of color often face unique societal pressures and systematic barriers. We provide a safe, affirming space where they can build confidence, find community, and pursue their goals with support.

Vision

Young women of color feel empowered, supported, and equipped to live a healthy, fulfilling life- academically, professionally, and personally after dealing with trauma.
